It is wonderful to come into the new library and see
so many patrons using the facilities and services to foster the educational
growth and development of Terrell County.
I am reminded of the phrase, "Build it and they will
come."
The new building is "A Field Of Dreams," a new dream
come true, and I am very proud to have such a beautiful library in our
community.
It was about five years ago that we first discussed
the possibility of a new building. We are fortunate to have been able
to receive state and local funds to make this dream a reality.
Terrell County Library offers a full program of
library services to all citizens of the county to meet their informational,
educational, and recreational needs.

My representation on the Library Board will be one of
support and direction.
Over the years, the library has provided outstanding
service to the children and citizens of Terrell County and the region.
I plan to support all efforts to increase those
services that will launch the library into the 21st Century.
My direction will be to the excellent staff members;
services that include automation, Internet and satellite technology; and
increase the volume of magazines, journals and books that are needed to take
our library into the next millennium.
