| Rhonda Gordon and her
husband Larry have owned and operated Gordon's Diamond Gallery on Main
Street in Dawson for several years. Prior to operating a business in
Dawson, the Gordon's worked in the jewelry business in Texas, Tennessee,
Alabama, Florida, and other parts of Georgia.
Originally from west Tennessee, they have lived in Sasser since 1981. They did most of the renovation work on their home and store themselves. Rhonda is a workaholic who does enjoy shopping, but spends most of what little free time she has doing volunteer work for service and civic organizations. Rhonda was instrumental in helping to organize a Friends group here, serving as its first vice-president. She has used her creative talents to do public relations for the Friends Group, and worked diligently to increase the organizations membership and she worked tirelessly on the earlier Annual Book Sale. The community as well as the library has benefited from Rhonda's many volunteer activities.
